Hobbs Middle School Registration & Back-to-School Information
We're excited to welcome our Russets back for the 2026–2027 school year!

📅 Important Dates

• New Student Registration: August 6 (by appointment only)
  • Call the office beginning August 4 to schedule an appointment.
• 7th Grade Registration: Tuesday, August 11 | 7:00–10:00 a.m.
• 8th Grade Registration: Wednesday, August 12 | 7:00–10:00 a.m.
• First Day of School: Tuesday, August 18

✅ Before Registration

Please complete your student's online registration through the Shelley School District website using the SnapCode emailed in May.
Important: Students must complete online registration before they can receive their school Chromebook.

📸 Registration Day Information

During registration, students will:

• Receive their class schedule
• Receive their locker combination
• Have school pictures taken by Bell Photography
• Complete required forms
• Purchase optional items:
  • Chromebook Protection – $20
  • Student Activity Card – $15
  • Yearbook
  • Cross Country Pay-to-Play (if participating)

Payments may also be made online through MySchoolBucks.

📖 Yearbook Pricing

• $34 during registration week
• $37 beginning August 17
• $42 after October 31

Yearbooks must be purchased by March 1.

💉 7th Grade Immunizations

All incoming 7th grade students must have:

• Meningococcal vaccine
• Tdap booster

Please bring updated immunization records to registration.
Southeast Idaho Public Health will be available:

• August 11
• 7:00–10:00 a.m.
• Parent/guardian must be present.
• Cost: $20.13 per injection
• Insurance will be billed when applicable.

Students without proof of required immunizations cannot attend school after October 1.

7th Grade Supply List 
All 7th Grade Classes

• Pencils & pencil sharpener
• Correcting pen (red or any color)
• Lined notebook paper
• 10-count colored pencils
• Two 100-page composition notebooks
• Wired headphones
• Pencil pouch
• Chromebook sleeve
• Optional: Clorox wipes and/or tissues

Additional Class Supplies

• ELA: Paper folders, paper portfolios, binder/dividers (Messick only)
• Algebra I: Jumbo book cover
• World History: Scissors, glue, colored pencils, plastic folders
• Science: 1-inch binder, folder, scissors, glue, dividers
• Band/Orchestra/Choir: Instrument-specific materials
• PE: Swimsuit (first and last two weeks)
• Art: #2 pencils, white vinyl eraser, six fine-point Sharpies

🏐 Athletics & Activities

• Volleyball Tryouts: August 10 (one-day tryout)
• Cross Country Camp: July 22
• Due to construction, information about volleyball and basketball open gyms will be posted on the Hobbs Middle School Facebook page.
