Welcome to Riverview Elementary!

Dear Riverview Families and Community Members,

It is an honor to serve as the principal of Riverview Elementary and to partner with the wonderful students, staff, and families of our community.

Returning to Shelley as an educator is a true full-circle moment for me. I grew up right here in Shelley and graduated in 1993. After more than 30 years away, it is incredible to be back home. Reconnecting with familiar faces—even as we’ve all grown a little older—and making new connections is a constant highlight of being back in the district.

I hold deep respect for the traditions, dedication, and hard work that have shaped Riverview into the extraordinary school it is today. My goal is to honor, support, and build upon the strong foundation that our community, educators, and past leaders have established over the years.

Throughout my 20 years in public education—10 years as a school counselor and 10 years as a principal—one core belief has driven everything I do: school must be a place kids love to be. When children feel safe, supported, and excited to walk through our doors, they naturally build the foundation to become confident, lifelong learners. My combined background in counseling and administration reinforces my commitment to supporting the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.

On a personal note, my family is at the heart of everything I do. My beautiful wife and I are the proud parents of four children—our 9-year-old son and three daughters, ages 13, 14, and 15. We are grateful to be part of this vibrant community.

My door is always open. Whether you are a long-time resident, a returning family, or new to the area, I look forward to working together to ensure our students have a safe, engaging, and inspiring experience at Riverview.

Warmly,

Randy Martineau

Principal, Riverview Elementary School
